Trooper Damon Zarate is the primary accident investigator.

Driver Rolls Pickup, LAMONT, September 24, 2024 - At approximately 10:20 am on September 24, 2024, the driver of a black 2021 Dodge pickup was north-bound on US-59 North. The driver was possibly distracted when he left the pavement to the left. He overcorrected right and rolled his pickup in the 2811 block of US-59 North as his truck came to rest upright blocking the highway. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and Troopers Damon Zarate and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol (they were assisted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office). The driver, Jason Armstrong, 54, of Livingston, was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All traffic on the north-bound side of 59 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Armstrong is likely facing a citation for the accident. His vehicle was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker out of Goodrich.
