A dead bull lies on the front lawn of Seven Oaks City Hall.
Herd of Cows Causes Accident on Highway 59, SEVEN OAKS, September 23, 2010 - At approximately 9 pm a 2005 Western Star 18 wheeler driven by Robert C. Noll, 61, of Sacora Illinois, was north-bound on US-59 in Seven Oaks when his rig was suddenly on a herd of 4 to 5 cattle.  Noll's vehicle slammed into a Charolais bull knocking the bull onto the front lawn of Seven Oaks City Hall.  The beast was killed on impact and Noll's vehicle sustained front end damage as the fan was pushed into the radiator.  Noll pulled his rig over to the right shoulder of 59 and parked.  Sergeant Christian Schanmier and Deputy Scott Wright with the Polk County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the scene along with DPS Trooper Kevin Burman.  Fortunately nobody was injured in the accident.  Noll did have insurance.  The bull was removed by the Texas Department of Transportation.  No citations were issued and a heavy duty wrecker from Smith Wrecker Service out of Cleveland recovered Noll's rig.

Animals are notorious on Polk County roads including cattle, deer, and wild hogs just to name a few.

Robert Noll of Secora Illinois sits in his 18 Wheeler immobilized on the shoulder of US-59 in Seven Oaks.
