Driver of Minivan Slams 2 Pickups, LIVINGSTON, September 22, 2015 - At around 6:30 am on September 22, 2015, a black 2007 Chevy Equinox driven by Karen Anderson, 39, of Livingston, was west-bound on US-190 West. As Anderson approached the intersection of Red Lowe Road, she failed to notice a red 1997 Ford F-250 driven by Rogelio Morales, 35, of Livingston. Morales was stopped for a school bus (the bus had stopped at Red Lowe Road across from Pedigo Furniture). Anderson swerved to avoid striking the pickup, but she still collided with Morales' vehicle. She bounced off Morales, continued west, then struck a white 2015 Ford F-250 (in front of Morales) driven by Aaron Munoz, 38, of Livingston (both pickups that Anderson struck are with Montana Nelson Concrete). The trucks remained in their lanes while Anderson slid sideways to a stop partially on the pavement. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Scenic Loop and Livingston Volunteer Fire Departments, Sergeant Lee Rogers and Deputy Josh Sanders with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Chad Seamans with the Texas Highway Patrol. Anderson was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. The drivers of the trucks and their passengers were physically okay. Traffic on the west-bound side of 190 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Anderson is facing citation for failure to control speed. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered the white truck and Anderson's vehicle. The truck will be stored at Montana Nelson Concrete while the minivan will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The red truck was recovered by LakeView Towing and will be stored at Montana Nelson Concrete.
