Motorcycle Head-On Accident Claims 2 Lives on FM-3126, LIVINGSTON, September 15, 2008 - A man and a woman lost their lives in a head-on motorcycle accident on FM-3126 about 1/2 mile north of FM-350 South. Shortly before 6 pm on September 15, 2008 a blue and white 1994 Ford F-250 was north-bound on 3126 when a motorcycle with two passengers, whose names are being withheld at this time, were south-bound on 3126. The motorcycle attempted to pass another south-bound motorcycle and while in the north-bound lane slammed head-on into a the north-bound truck. The driver of the truck got out of the truck and upon seeing the condition of the motorcycle passengers, immediately called 911. Eight DPS Troopers were dispatched to the scene. Also at the scene were Sergeant Rob Thomas, Jim Bowie, Phillip Waller and Vance Berry from the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Additionally Polk County Constable Precinct 1 Charlie Clack arrived at the scene of the accident. An Americare Ambulance arrived but was not needed as 2 of the victims were deceased and the driver of the truck was physically fine. A fire truck from Scenic Loop Fire Department arrived to assist in the clean up of the wreckage. All traffic on 3126 was blocked as the accident was being cleared and investigated. Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Larry Whitworth arrived and pronounced the man and the woman dead at the scene. A body car from Cochran Funeral Home arrived to transport the 2 bodies from the scene. The truck was towed away from the scene by a rollback wrecker from FawBush Body Shop and will be stored at Polock's Body Shop in Livingston, while the motorcycle was towed from the scene by Harwood Wrecker Service and will be stored at Harwood Wrecker Service in Livingston.
