Trooper Chris Cain talks to driver, 17 year old James Marker of Goodrich.
Driver and Dog Survive Rollover Accident Unscathed, GOODRICH, September 14, 2016 - At approximately 4:10 pm on September 14, 2016, a black 2006 Toyota Corolla, driven by James Marker, 17, of Goodrich, was north-bound on US-59 in the vicinity of Goodrich (a short distance south of the Goodrich truckstop).  Marker's vehicle left the pavement to the right (he was possibly distracted) and went into a ditch and rolled.  Marker's vehicle came to rest upside down in the ditch.  Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Victor White with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Chris Cain with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Marker was checked by EMS personnel and was fortunately okay.  Additionally, Marker's passenger, "Jax" (a pug) was unharmed.  Trooper Cain cited Marker for failure to maintain a single lane of traffic.  Marker's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
