Americare Ambulance Service treated all victims at the scene.
Accident on 1988 at 146, LIVINGSTON, September 6, 2008 - At approximately 4:50 pm a dark blue Mercury Cougar driven by Joe Guillien,18, of Livingston, was south-bound on 146 and was slammed by a north-bound dark Green Toyota Corolla trying to turn left at the same place and driven by Cecilia Hernandez, 23, of Livingston. Americare Ambulance arrived and treated victims at the scene. The accident disabled both vehicles. DPS Trooper Donny Akers was dispatched to the scene, also at the scene were Polk County Sheriff's Deputies Glen Edwards, Terri Mayer, and Darrin Crow. Guillien's vehicle sustained heavy damage to the rear driver's side while Hernandez's vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front driver's side. Both airbags in Hernandez's vehicle deployed. One lane of traffic was blocked as the accident was being investigated and cleared. Four citations were issued to Hernandez for: no driver's license, no insurance, failure to yield right-of-way at a left turn, and a 3 year old passenger was not in a child safety seat. Guillien's vehicle was towed by LakeView wrecker service and will be stored at LakeView Body Shop in Livingston while Hernandez's vehicle was towed by Fawbush wrecker service and will be stored at Fawbush Body Shop on 59 North next door to Lone Star Charlie's. The scene was cleared and traffic fully flowing by 5:35 pm.
