US-59 at Marston Road on Saturday early afternoon.

Multiple Hospitalized (1 by air lift) in Accident, NEW WILLARD, September 5, 2020 - At approximately 12:05 pm on August 5, 2020, a red 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by Ciara Dublin, 24, of Livingston, was north-bound on US-59. Dublin pulled into a crossover and attempted to cross the south-bound lanes to Marston Road but failed to yield to a south-bound silver 2012 Ford F-150 (pulling a boat with trailer), driven by Austin Goode, 27, of Houston. According to Goode, he slammed on his brakes, but it was too little too late as Goode's vehicle impacted Dublin's passenger side. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the pavement to the right. Goode's vehicle came to rest in the grass. Dublin's vehicle went further and crashed through a barbed wire fence where it finally stopped as it impacted a large downed pine tree. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Colton McQuilkin, Corporal Ramey Bass, Nick Hatton, Kevin Burman and Sergeant Sam Lattner (all with the Texas Highway Patrol). Dublin's front passenger, Lexi Dublin, 23, of Livingston, sustained serious injuries and was flown to Houston. Dublin's rear seat passenger, Tyrique Dublin, 17, of Livingston, was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. Ciara Dublin was also transported to CHI. Austin Goode and his passenger were physically okay. Traffic on the south-bound side of 59 was blocked during flight operations. At time of press, this accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol. Goode's vehicle and boat with trailer were both recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. Dublin's vehicle was recovered by Dan's Wrecker Service and will be stored in Livingston.

Special thank you: Ken with Ken's Towing
