Multiple Roll Over Accident; 3 Hospitalized, GOODRICH, September 5, 2011 - At Approximately 1:12 pm on September 5, 2011, a roll over accident occurred on US-59 South in Goodrich about a half mile south of the 1988 bridge. Anthony Nadal, 20, of Houston, was south bound on US-59 in a silver 2003 Buick Regal when he left the road to the left, attempted to pull his vehicle back on the road, and rolled his vehicle 2 times coming to rest upside down in the median. Americare Ambulance service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and DPS Troopers David Flowers and Joe Cole. Emergency personnel removed Nadal and his three passengers from the flipped vehicle. Nadal and two of his passengers were transported Livingston Memorial Hospital via Ambulance with non life threatening injuries. One lane of traffic on both sides of US-59 were blocked during investigation and clean up. According to Trooper Flowers the accident is still under investigation, but Anthony Nadal could be facing charges of unsafe speed. A roll back wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Nadal's vehicle, and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 2:20 pm.
