Spontaneous Fire Torches Truck, LIVINGSTON, August 30, 2010 - Shortly before 2 pm on August 29, 2010 a white 1989 Ford F-150 driven by Apolinar Dimas just turned off of US-190 onto FM-2457 by the Corner Shell station. As Dimas was headed south, he saw smoke suddenly coming from under the hoot of his truck. Dimas was also pulling a trailer. Within seconds fire was coming from under the hood. The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with DPS Troopers Kevin Burman and Corporal Sam Lattner. The fire was extinguished but not before the truck was totaled. No citations were issued.
