Truck Owned by Local Man Found Turned Over, SCENIC LOOP, August 26, 2012 - At around 12:45 am on August 26, 2012, a report was phoned into the Polk County Sheriff's Office of a turned over truck off FM-3277.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, Constable Richard Lively, and Trooper Chris Caine with the Texas Highway Patrol.  When emergency personnel arrived in the 4700 block of 3277, the found a red full size Nissan pickup (registered to James Allen Moffett, 30, of Livingston) turned on its side.  The truck was south-bound on FM-3277 and left the road to the left, took out a mailbox, struck a culvert, and rolled on it's side in what appeared to be a violent wreck.  Evidence at the scene suggests that the driver crawled out the back window of the truck and fled the scene.  Trooper Cain and other personnel searched the area for the driver, but didn't find anyone.  This accident is under investigation by Trooper Chris Cain and the Department of Public Safety. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered the pickup and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
