Large Utility Truck Turns Over in Construction Zone, SEVEN OAKS, August 24, 2023 - At approximately 10:25 am on August 24, 2023, a large white utility truck was north-bound on US-59 in Seven Oaks.  For some reason, the driver, Damian Garcia Rodriguez, 38, of Houston, left the pavement to the left and entered the median, then tried to cut back right onto 59, but instead lost control as his truck turned over.  Rogriguez's truck came to rest on its passenger's side in the left lane on the north-bound side in a road construction zone.  Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Troopers Cotye Lowrie, Kevin Burman, Nick Hatton, and Sergeant Sam Lattner with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Additionally, workers from TXDOT were dispatched to assist.  Rodriguez was transported by ambulance to CHI Lufkin with non-life-threatening injuries.  Traffic on the north-bound side was backed up for over two miles as it was rerouted to a single lane on the right shoulder.  Rogriguez was cited for failure to maintain a single lane of traffic.  Clifton Chevrolet out of Corrigan was summoned to recover the utility truck and clean up the mess.
