Early Morning Rollover Accident, LIVINGSTON, August 24, 2009 - At approximately 5:30 am on August 24, 2009 a black 2002 Ford Escape driven by Delanya Bean, 41, of Leggett, was north-bound on Beatty Street near the west-side of Livingston when she entered a curve going too fast. Bean's vehicle left the road to the left, struck a culvert, landed back in the road and rolled. The vehicle came to rest on the passenger's side blocking half of the road. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Officer Darrell Newman and Sergeant Ronnie Bogany, both with the Livingston Police Department. Bean was treated at the scene for a head injury and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital. One lane of traffic was blocked as the accident was being investigated and cleared. Bean did have insurance and will be issued a citation for failure to control speed. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Bean's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 6:15 am.
A special thank you to Jim Harwood from Harwood Wrecker Service and Ken from Ken's Towing.
