Victim's Name Released in Corrigan Truck / Pedestrian Accident:
According to the Corrigan Police Department, the victim's name in the 18 wheeler / pedestrian accident that occurred on August 23 is 38 year old Shane Felts of Houston. Felts was struck on US-59 in Corrigan by a north-bound 18 Wheeler in the middle of the night on August 23, 2012. The truck driver's name is William Davis, 52, also of Houston. According to Corrigan Police Department, the accident remains under investigation.

Accident Kills Houston Man in Corrigan, CORRIGAN, August 23, 2012 - According to the Corrigan Police Department, at around 3:45 am this morning (August 23), a pedestrian was struck by an 18 wheeler in Corrigan. The 38 year old Houston man (whose name is being withheld pending notification of relatives), allegedly stepped in front of a north-bound 18 wheeler and was struck by the rig. Investigating Officer, Roy Wade with Corrigan PD was dispatched to investigate. The man was still alive and was transported by helicopter to Hermann Hospital in Houston, but was dead on arrival at Hermann. Intoxication is not being ruled out for the now deceased Houston man, and toxicology reports are pending. We will post updates on this story when we receive more information from Corrigan Police Department.
