Truck Slams Into Tree, Driver Hospitalized, LIVINGSTON, August 23, 2009 - Shortly before 4:30 pm on August 23, 2009, a blue 2003 Ford Ranger driven by Samuel Griffin Ellisor, 38, of Livingston, was south-bound on US-146 when he allegedly passed out at the wheel. Ellisor's vehicle left the road to the right and went into a yard and slammed into a large tree. Ellisor's airbag deployed. The accident occurred just a couple of miles south of Livingston. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with DPS Troopers Ramey Bass and Brent Murray. Ellisor was treated at the scene by EMS Personnel and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic on 146 was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. No citations were issued and Ellisor did have insurance. A wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Ellisor's vehicle and it will be stored at Harwood in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 5:20 pm.
