74 year old Joe Wayne Brown, of Chester, hydroplaned and slammed into this tree of FM-62 about 5 miles from US-59.
Wet Roads Cause Driver to Hydroplane, Slam Into Tree, MOSCOW, August 20, 2015 - At approximately 5:45 am on August 20, 2015, a tan 2002 Chevy 1500 driven by Joe Wayne Brown, 74, of Chester, was west-bound on FM-62 about five miles from US-59. Brown apparently entered a curve too fast for the wet road and hydroplaned. His pickup left the pavement to the left and slammed sideways (passenger side) into a tree. Brown sustained injuries but managed to climb out of his truck. A passer by came upon the scene and transported Brown to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. Trooper Barett Duren was dispatched to investigate. No citations were issued. A rollback wrecker from Riley Wrecker Service out of Corrigan recovered Brown's truck and it will be stored in Corrigan.
There was blood all over the interior of the pickup.
Trooper Duren assisted Riley's Wrecker Service with vehicle recovery.
