Driver Rolls SUV, Walks Away, GOODRICH, August 19, 2024 - At approximately 7:25 am on August 19, 2024, the driver of a black 2016 Infinity QX70 was north-bound on US-59 in Goodrich. According to the driver, another vehicle pulled directly in front of him. In order to avoid a collision, the driver cut his wheels left and lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle went sideways and rolled, coming to rest on it's driver's side in the center median (across the street from Lone Star Charlie's). Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Damon Zarate with the Texas Highway Patrol. The driver came out of his vehicle under his own power, was checked by EMS personnel, and transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure. His vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker out of Livingston.
