UPDATE ON THIS MORNING'S CREEK WRECK:The name of the driver in this morning's crash that occurred in Choates Creek (U Turn in South Livingston) has been released. At around 5 am on August 16, 2023, a 2019 Dodge Journey, driven by Roxanne Harrison, 32, of LaMarque, was south-bound on the US-59 Feeder Road (near Bounds Autoplex). As Harrison entered the U-Turn that goes under 59, her speed was too fast and her car left the pavement and went all the way down to the bottom of Choates Creek. With the current drought, the stream only trickled underneath Harrison's vehicle. Harrison was entrapped with her three kids (ages 1, 5, and 6). Livingston Volunteer Firemen and Livingston Police were able to successfully get the family from their vehicle safely. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. All four were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. Special thank you: Livingston Police Departmentfor this update
