39 year old Kenneth Don Bailey, of Cedar Point slammed his pickup into a business 59 overpass column at the south end of Livingston.
Driver Slams Truck Into Column, Arrested for DWI, LIVINGSTON, August 15, 2016 - At approximately 10:09 pm on August 14, 2016, an older model white Chevy pickup, driven by Kenneth Don Bailey, 39, of Cedar Point was north-bound on US-59. As Bailey was about to driver under the overpass of Business 59 at the south end of Livingston, he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and left the pavement to the left. Bailey's pickup slammed sideways into a column under the Business 59 overpass. Officer Jason Thomas and Sergeant Chad Ward with Livingston Police Department were dispatched to the scene and were joined by Corporal Javier Segura with the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Officer Thomas administered a field sobriety test on Bailey and placed him under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Bailey admitted to the officers that he had been drinking. His vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from Fawbush Wrecker Service and will be stored in Goodrich.

Officer Jason Thomas administered a field sobriety test on Bailey.
Officer Thomas placed Bailey under arrest and charged him with driving while intoxicated (Sergeant Ward stands by).
Bailey had a small dog in his truck that will be cared for by friends.
Bailey's pickup was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker Service.
