Accident in Front of Walmart Hopitalizes 1, LIVINGSTON, August 14, 2012 - At approximately 2:30 pm on August 14, 2012, a silver 2005 Buick Century driven by Lawrence Edward English, 88, of Onalaska, was east-bound on US-190 West. English attempted a left turn into the Walmart parking lot, had the right-of-way, and was broadsided by a red late model Dodge pickup driven by Frances Flores, 66, of Livingston. Flores was west-bound on 190 and, according to 2 witnesses, ran a red light and broadsided English. Both vehicles came to rest on the west side of 190. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Officers Adam Williford, Scott Paske, Kevin Ward, and Sergeant Ronnie Bogany (all with Livingston PD). Both Lawrence English and Frances Flores were treated at the scene by EMS personnel from Americare.. English was released at the scene and Flores was transported by Ambulance to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic on the west-bound side of 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Officer Williford, Flores will be cited for running a red light. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered both vehicles and they wil be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared in less than an hour.
Robert English's 2004 Buick Century was broadsided when he attempted a left turn at the intersection between Walmart and Moore Auto Sales.
According to more than one witness, Frances Flores was west-bound and ran a red light when she broadsided English.
Flores was taken to Livingston Memorial Hospital by Ambulance. English was released at the scene.
Both vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing.
