FM-2665 and Sleepy Hollow Road on Tuesday afternoon (08/13/19).
Elderly Driver Snaps Utility Pole, Gets Hospitalized, GOODRICH, August 13, 2019 - At approximately 1:45 pm on August 13, 2019, a green 2002 Toyota Solara, driven by Doris Allwright, 89, of Goodrich, was north-bound on Sleepy Hollow Road.  As Allwright came to the intersection of FM-2665 she accelerated straight ahead and was about to driver over and off of FM-2665.  Allwright suddenly cut her wheels and did a U-Turn and sped the other direction as she left the pavement and slammed into a utility pole.  The impact snapped the pole about halfway up.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Troopers Nick Hatton and Allen Stanton with the Texas Highway patrol.  Allwright was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  A service crew from Sam Houston Electric Cooperative was dispatched to replace the broken utility Pole.  Allwright's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.  This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

Allwright was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital.
