28 year old Mohammad Shoaib, of Point Blank, was driving this Infinity QX80 when (according to a witness), he tried to beat a light and caused a collision next to Whataburger in Livingstn. Shoaib's vehicle rolled and came to rest upright.

Vehicles Collide, One Rolls, LIVINGSTON, August 11, 2025 - At approximately 8:05 am on August 11, 2025, a gray 2016 Ford Explorer, driven by Jessyca Lynn Champagne, 38, of Livingston, was east-bound on US-190 West (overpass by McDonalds). Champagne attempted a left turn onto the US-59 feeder road when she collided with a west-bound black 2019 Infinity QX80 driven by Mohammad Shamer Shoaib, 28, of Point Blank. According to a witness, Shoaib was trying to beat a light and might have ran the red light. The collision caused Shoaib's vehicle to roll and come to rest upright on the road, while Champagne's vehicle came to rest partially on the shoulder and grass (across from Whataburger). Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Officer Nicole McLean with The Livingston Police Department (Officer Mclean was assisted by other officers from LPD). Fortunately, there were no life threatening injuries. Champagne was checked by EMS personnel at the scene and was released at the scene. Shoaib was transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital by ambulance with a cut on his head. Sadly, Shoaib had two puppies in his vehicle. Both were ejected during the rollover. One was killed, the other suffered a broken leg. A relative of Shoaib arrived to pick up both puppies. Traffic on both sides of the underpass was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Pending an investigation, Shoaib could be facing responsibility for this accident if he did run a red light.  Champagne's vehicle was recovered by Pop's Wrecker Service out of Livingston, while Shoaib's vhehicle was recovered by Dan's Towing out of Livingston.  This accident remains under investigation by the Livingston Police Department.

Special thank you: Ken with Ken's Towing

Editor's Note: I shot video at the scene of this accident and was going to do our usual video portion of the story, however, my Camcorder seems to have technical problems and all my recording (for some reason) didn't appear on my camera's card.
