60 year old Jeff Randall Blankenship was driving this Chevy pickup when he slammed into another vehicle causing a 4 vehicle accident.
Domino Effect in 4 Vehicle Accident, LIVINGSTON, August 12, 2014 - Shortly before 4 pm on August 11, 2014, a four car pile up occurred on US-146. It all started when a black Chevy Avalanche driven by Jerome Lane Drewry, 67, of Onalaska, was south-bound on 146 and stopped and was waiting to make a left turn onto East Capps Road. There were two vehicles behind Drewry (A gold Ford F-150 driven by Richard Thomas Adams, 81, of Livingston and a gold Dodge Durango driven by Valerie Lee Berry, 34, of Livingston). All three vehicles were at a stop when a white Chevy 2500 driven by Jeff Randall Blankenship, 60, of Taylor Lake Estates plowed into the back of the the Gold Durango (driven by Valerie Berry). The collision knocked Berry's vehicle into the back of the F-150 (driven by Richard Adams), Adams was pushed into the back of the Chevy Avalanche. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy William Jerry with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Allen Stanton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Valerie Berry and Richard Adams were transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Everyone else was okay. Traffic on 146 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Stanton, Jeff Randall Blankenship was cited for failure to control speed. Two of the vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
Blankenship slammed into the back of this Dodge Durango driven by 32 year old Valerie Berry of Livingston.
The font end of Berry's vehicle was crushed when it slammed into the vehicle in front of her.
Berry's vehicle slammed into the back of this Ford F-150 driven by 81 year old Richard Adams.
Adams' vehicle slammed into the back of this Chevy Avalanche that was driven by 67 year old Jerome Drewry of Onalaska. Drewry was waiting to make a left turn onto E. Capps Road.
