Driver Rolls Vehicle Near Corner Shell, LIVINGSTON, August 8, 2013 - At around 9:40 am on August 8, 2013, a tan 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Estella Garcia, 52, of Livingston, was west-bound on US-190 West. Garcia may have blown a tire causing her vehicle to leave the road to the left. Her vehicle rolled at least 2 times before coming to rest upright in the center median. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and Troopers Allen Stanton and Sergeant Nita Bowen (both with the Texas Highway Patrol). Garcia was treated at the scene and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Garcia had her one year old grandson in the vehicle who was also transported by ambulance to Memorial for precautionary reasons. Fortunately, the child was properly strapped into a baby seat when the crash occurred. Traffic on both sides of 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to investigating officer, Trooper Stanton, no citations have been issued at this time. A rollback wrecker fron LakeView Wrecker recovered the totaled SUV and it will be stored in Livingston.
Estella Garcia and her 1 year old grandson were transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
