Trooper Kevin Burman was dispatched to investigate a rollover accident on FM 1988 West.
Unsafe Speed; Driver Rolls Vehicle, SWARTWOUT, August 8, 2011 - At Approximately 2:05 pm an orange 1996 Chevy Cavalier driven by Carnella Hughes, 50, of Livingston, was south-bound on FM 1988 West just north of FM 3278 when her vehicle left the road to the right. Hughes' over corrected to the left, left the road to the left causing her vehicle to roll. Hughes' vehicle came to rest upside down in the grass facing west. DPS Troopers Kevin Burman and Donny Akers were dispatched to the scene. Hughes and her granddaughter were physically okay. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and clean up. According to Trooper Burman, Hughes will be cited for unsafe speed, and no child safety seat. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Hughes' vehicle and it will be stored at Polock's Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 3:00 pm.
