Driver Strikes Cow, Passenger Hospitalized, GOODRICH, August 4, 2012 - At approximately 2:40 am on August 4, 2012, a gray 2004 KIA Amani driven by Kyle Ashton Milburn, 18, of Moscow, was north-bound on US-59 in the Goodrich area. Milburn was in the right lane when he came upon a black cow that was standing in his lane. Milburn's vehicle struck the cow killing the animal. The impact caused heavy front end damage to the vehicle and caved in the windshield. Milburn's vehicle came to rest in the left lane a short distance north of where he impacted the cow. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Monty Lee with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol. Milburn's passenger, 18 year old Aline Hulett, allegedly sustained serious injuries to her left leg and other undisclosed injuries. Hulett was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Traffic on the north-bound side of 59 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Burman, Milburn was cited for no driver's license. A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Milburn's vehicle and it will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 4 am.

Kyle Milburn's 2004 KIA Amani sustained heavy front end damage after striking a cow on US-59.
