Driver Rolls Truck Into Brick Fence, SCHWAB CITY, August 1, 2009 - At approximately 7:32 pm on August 1, 2009, a white 1995 GMC 1500 driven by a young resident of Holiday Lake Estates was north-bound on River Road in Holiday Lake Estates subdivision when his truck began to slide on the unpaved road. The truck slid to the right side of the road and the driver over corrected when he cut his wheels to the left and the truck rolled and crashed through a short brick fence coming to rest upside down at a residence on 1633 River Road. Fortunately, nobody was injured. The driver was not intoxicated but was simply driving at an unsafe speed. Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Buie was dispatched to the scene along with DPS Troopers Darwon Evans and Kevin Burman. The young driver did have insurance but was issued a citation for unsafe speed. The truck was recovered by a rollback wrecker from Fawbush Wrecker Service in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 9:10 pm.
