3 Vehicle Accident Hospitalizes Mother and 2 Children, LIVINGSTON, July 30, 2016 - At approximately 3:25 pm on July 30, 2016, a black 2005 Nissan 350Z, driven by Adriana Dominguez, 29, of Livingston, was north-bound on North Washington (north end of Business 59). As Dominguez approached a green light at Washington and North Houston (by Z Mart), she broadsided a blue 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan driven by Earl Gayle Abbott, 82, of Livingston. Abott was south-bound and attempted a left turn onto North Houston. Though Abbott had a green light, he did not have a green arrow (meaning that he had to yield right-of-way to oncoming north-bound traffic). The impact knocked Abbott's vehicle into a gray 2013 Ford Fiesta, driven by Edwan Maurice Lucas, 34, of Houston. Lucas' vehicle sustained minor damage. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to t he scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and Officers Donald Dyson, Kaleb Barker, and Brandon Brewer (all with Livingston Police Department). Dominguez and her two small children were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Abbott and Lucas were physically okay. Traffic at the intersection was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Abbott was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a left turn, Dominguez was cited for driving with unrestrained children in her car, and Lucas was cited for no driver's license. A rollback wrecker from Fawbush Wrecker Service recovered Abbott's vehicle and it will be stored in Goodrich. Dominguez's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston. Lucas' vehicle was driven from the scene.
