Single Vehicle Accident on Loop 116, NEW WILLARD, July 27, 2008 - A single vehicle accident on Loop 116 sent a Livingston woman to the hospital. Shortly after 9:30 pm on July 27, 2008, a white 2005 Infiniti G-35 driven by Twila F. Kimberlin, 29, of Livingston was traveling northwest on loop 116 when she allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and her vehicle left the road, struck a culvert, went airborne, struck another culvert, re-entered the road and spun out facing southeast. Polk County Sheriff Deputies David Ramsey and Lee Rogers were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Also dispatched was DPS Trooper Brent Henry. Kimberlin's airbag deployed and the underside of her vehicle sustained heavy damage. Kimberlin was treated for injuries by Americare Ambulance Service and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital. The southeast lane of traffic on the 2 lane road was blocked while the accident was being investigated and cleared. So far, Kimberlin will be issued a citation for expired vehicle registration. It is not yet known if Kimberlin had insurance. The scene was cleared out in about an hour. A wrecker from Polock's Wrecker Service towed Kimberlin's vehicle from the scene, and the vehicle will be stored a Polock's Body Shop on 190 East.
