23 year old Justin Alton Bannister, of Livingston, was driving this 2001 GMC Sierra on US-190 West. Bannister was waiting to make a left turn and was struck from behind.
Driver Waiting to Turn is Struck from Behind, Multiple Hospitalized, SPRING CREEK, July 26, 2019 - At approximately 2:20 pm on July 26, 2019, a tan 2001 GMC Sierra, driven by Justin Alton Bannister, 23, of Livingston was east-bound on US-190 West. Bannister stopped and was waiting to make a left turn onto Spring Creek Road when he was struck from behind. A white 2018 Chevy Trax, driven by Amber Renee Bullock, 27, of Livingston. Bullock noticed Bannister at the last second and cut right but still grazed Bannister's pickup. Bullock's vehicle left the pavement to the right and spun out in the grass. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Jacob Hopper with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Zach Lenderman, Ashley White, Nick Hatton, and Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol. Bannister and his passenger and Bullock and her passengers were all transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Bullock was cited for failure to control speed, and a child in the car that was not properly restrained. Both vehicles were recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
