Driver Flown From Scene of Major Accident, ACE, July 23, 2018 - At approximately 8 am on July 23, 2018, a white 2018 one ton Chevy pickup, driven by Marshall Reeves, 32, of Livingston, was east-bound on FM-2610 (about 3.5 miles off US-146). As Reeves was proceeding through a curve in the road, a west-bound 1997 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Joann Dillon, 30, of Livingston, began to cross the center line. Reeves tried to avoid a collision, as Dillon continued to get closer. Reeves' truck began scraping against the guardrail as he couldn't go any further away from Dillon's oncoming vehicle. Dillon's vehicle side swiped Reeves' truck and trailer, and then slammed into the guardrail at a high rate of speed. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the North Liberty and South Polk County Volunteer Fire Departments, Deputy Kayla Hemperly with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Donny Akers with the Texas Highway Patrol. Dillon was transported by ambulance to a nearby landing zone and was flown by PHi Air Medical Helicopter to Conroe Regional Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Reeves was physically okay. Traffic on 2610 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Reeves' Truck and Trailer was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. Dillon's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livngston. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

32 year old Marshall Reeves, of Livingston, was driving this 2018 Chevy 1 ton pickup (pulling trailer) east-bound on FM-2610 when another vehicle crossed the center line and side swiped his pickup and trailer.
30 year old Joann Dillon, of Livingston, was driving this 1997 Jeep Cherokee. Dillon crossed the center line, side swiped Reeves' vehicle, then slammed into the guardrail.
Dillon was flown by helicopter to Conroe Regional Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
