4 Wheeler Accident Hospitalizes 2, One Seven Year Old Flown Out, GOODRICH, July 21, 2012 - At approximately 3:15 pm on July 21, 2012, a Polaris Ranger 4 Wheeler was south-bound on Lone Wolf Road (located off of FM-1988 East). The Ranger was being driven by a seven year old boy with a passenger, 19 year old Colby DeVilleneuve of Livingston. The child went into a curve too fast on the unpaved road and lost control of the 4 wheeler. The vehicle rolled ejecting both occupants. Witnesses at the scene were trying to help the two accident victims and called for help. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office (including Chief Deputy, Byron Lyons), volunteers from the Goodrich Fire Department, and Trooper Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol. The child appeared to have sustained head injuries and was treated at the scene by personnel from Americare, transported to a landing zone set up at the Goodrich Post Office located off of US-59 South, and flown to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Colby DeVilleneuve was also treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. The 4 Wheeler was recovered by family members using a trailer.

This Polaris Ranger was being driven by a 7 year old on an unpaved road when he entered a curve too fast, lost control and rolled it.
Colby DeVilleneuve, 19, of Livingston, was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital by Ambulance (Trooper Kevin Burman (right) is the investigating officer).
The driver (a 7 year old boy) appeared to have sustained head injuries and a medical helicopter was summoned.

The 7 year old boy was taken by ambulance to a landing zone at the Goodrich Post Office where a PHi Air Medical Helicopter was ready to transport.
