Sleepy Driver Turns Over Box Truck, 2 Hospitalized, LIVINGSTON, July 18, 2022 - At approximately 7:25 am on July 18, 2022, a box truck transporting large appliances, driven by Luis Arnulfo Navarrete Orellana, 26, of Houston, was north-bound on US-59.  Orellana allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.  His box truck left the pavement to the left and entered the center median where it turned over on its passenger's side just south of the Livingston City Limits.  The impact ruptured the cargo portion of the truck as a washing machine and refrigerator partially spilled out.  Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Troopers Kevin Burman and Johnny Wilkerson with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Both Orellana and his passenger appeared to be in pain.  Both were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  No citations were issued.  A heavy-duty wrecker was summoned to clean up the mess.
