George Lambert's 2001 Nissan Altima sits in the edge of Holiday Lake.
Driver Crashes Into Lake, Arrested for DWI, HOLIDAY LAKE ESTATES, July 19, 2013 - At around 10 pm on July 18, 2013, a tan 2001 Nissan Altima driven by George Lambert, 62, of Pasadena, was north-bound on River Road in the subdivision of Holiday Lake Estates.  Lambert's vehicle left the unpaved road to the left.  His vehicle's front end made it into the edge of Holiday Lake.  Uninjured, Lambert got out of his vehicle, dripping wet and started knocking on the doors of nearby houses seeking assistance.  Lambert didn't have much luck.  After a few hours, his wrecked vehicle was discovered and a call was placed.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Community Fire Department, Adam Norris with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Donny Akers with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Lambert was checked by EMS personnel and released.  Trooper Akers administered a field sobriety test on Lambert and placed him under arrest for driving while intoxicated.  Lambert is believed to have been intoxicated with pills.  Traffic on River Road was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Lambert's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
