Motorcycle Accident, Life Flight Summoned, BIG SANDY, July 16, 2009 - According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, at approximately 9 am on July 16, 2009, a 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster driven by Angela Ann Blum, 31, of Livingston was south-bound on FM-1276. According to Blum, her motorcycle struck a piece of debris in the road causing her motorcycle to turn over on it's left side and slide to the right side of the road. Blum was ejected from the motorcycle and was wearing a helmet. DPS Trooper Sam Lattner was dispatched to the scene to investigate. An ambulance was also dispatched. Blum was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with incapacitating injuries and was life flighted a short time later to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Blum did have insurance and no citation was issued. Blum's motorcycle was recovered by her husband.
