18 year old Justin Lindfest's 2005 Toyota Corolla sits totaled in the right lane of US-190 West after impacting a pickup that fled the scene.
Hit and Run, Driver Facing Felony Charges, LIVINGSTON, July 15, 2012 - At approximately 12:40 am on July 15, 2012, eighteen year old Justin Linfest of League City was west-bound on US-190 West.  Linfest suddenly found himself swerving to avoid the broadside of a white pickup that had pulled out of the parking lot of Buster Mcnutty's.  Linfest's 2005 Toyota Corolla T-boned the pickup, totaling Linfest's car.  The driver of the truck opted to flee the scene (showing no regard for the driver of the car) and pulled back into the parking lot of Buster Mcnutty's.

Deputies Dustin Lowery, Monty Lee, Glen Edwards and Sergeant Christian Schanmier (all with the Polk County Sheriff's Office) were dispatched to the scene along with Troopers David Flowers, Sergeant Nita Bowen and Chad Seamans. Deputies immediately began searching the parking lot of Buster McNutty's searching for a white pickup that would reflect the damage of having been broadsided by a small car. Sergeant Schanmier found the pickup, sure enough, with major damage to the driver's side.

Everything Caught on Security Camera...
An exceptional security camera system at Buster McNutty's caught the collision on tape, and shows the pickup turn around and come back into the parking lot.  Further, the video shows the driver of the truck, (reportedly Clint Davis, 43, of Livingston) get out of his truck, and head into the woods on the east-side of Buster Mcnutty's.  The camera also shows Davis' wife (passenger) head back into the establishment.  Deputies and Troopers caught up with Mrs. Davis who was visibly frightened.  Davis admitted to the Police that it was her husband driving the truck when the collision occurred, and that he fled trying to get away.

Driver Facing Felony Charges...
The Driver of the pickup, Clint Davis, is facing felony charges for fleeing the scene of an accident and failure to stop and render aid and could be facing other charges.  At time of press, Davis is still at large, but is being sought by police.

A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Justin Linfest's vehicle and it will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston.  Davis' truck was recovered by a Rollback Wrecker from Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.

Amazingly, Linfest wasn't seriously injured and only had a cut toe.
The accident occurred directly in front of Buster McNutty's restaurant.
A deer feeder with several bags of deer corn were ejected from the white pickup during the collision.
Sergeant Christian Schanmier (pictured) found the 2007 Chevy Z71 pickup in the parking lot of Buster McNutty's. Security cameras caught the collision on tape, and also show driver Clint Davis flee the scene and run and hide in the neighboring woods.
Lots of evidence: Security cameras, wife admitting that husband was driving, and part of the grill of Linfest's Toyota caught caught on Davis' truck.
Linfest's vehicle was recovered by Big Jim Harwood (also picture Ken with Ken's Towing giving Big Jim a hand).
Clint Davis' vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
Ken and Houdini (Houdini is the one with the bigger ears).
Ken tried to introduce Mixi and Houdini. Houdini seemed okay, but Mix seemed a little frightened.
