Driver Crashes, Flees Scene, SCHWAB CITY, July 12, 2019 - At approximately 4 pm on July 12, 2019, a passer by reported spotting a crashed vehicle off US-146. Trooper Zach Lenderman, with the Texas Highway Patrol was dispatched to investigate. As it turns out, the crash happened during the night as the vehicle, a black Chrysler 200 was south-bound on US-146 about a quarter mile south of the intersection of FM-943. The vehicle left the pavement to the left, rolled down an embankment, slammed into a tree, and came to rest on the driver's side just inside the woods. The driver crawled from the vehicle and fled the scene and has not YET been found. The vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
