Driver Rolls Vehicle, Facing Felony DWI Charge, LIVINGSTON, July 6, 2018 - At approximately 7:10 pm on July 6, 2018, a maroon 2004 Honda Accord, driven by Kevin Fickey, 46, of Livingston, was north-bound on FM-3126 (a short distance north of Lake Livingston State Park Entrance). Fickey's vehicle left the pavement to the right and rolled. His vehicle came to rest upright in the grass facing his opposite direction of travel. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Michael Powell with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Donny Akers with the Texas Highway Patrol. Fickey was helped from his vehicle and found a fence to lean on while emergency personnel were enroute. Alcohol is suspected as Fickey smelled heavily of alcohol. Trooper Akers checked Fickey for intoxication. Fickey is being charged with driving while intoxicated. This is Fickey's third or more charge for DWI which makes this DWI a felony. He was also charged for driving with a suspended license. Fickey was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. His vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.

Akers spoke with Fickey and checked him for intoxication.
Fickey was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Fickey's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
