4 Wheeler Crash, 19 Year Old Victim Flown to Houston, LIVINGSTON, July 4, 2015 - At approximately 8:05 pm on July 4, 2015, a Kawasaki four wheeler was east-bound on Mangum Road and left the pavement to the right at Mangum Road and Michelle Lane. The driver, 19 year old Dakota Wayne Patterson, of Livingston, sustained major injuries when the 4 wheeler turned over on him. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Deputy Terry Valka and Sergeant Phillip Waller with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Allen Stanton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Patterson was transported by ambulance to Livingston Municipal Airport (off FM-350 South) and loaded into a PHi Air Medical helicopter and flown to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Patterson is facing a citation for operating a 4 wheeler on a public road. Patterson's 4 wheeler was recovered by a rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
The Kawasaki 4 wheeler turned over onto 19 year old Dakota Wayne Patterson, of Livingston.
Patterson was loaded onto an ambulance and transported to a nearby landing zone to be flown out.
Trooper Allen Stanton investigated the accident.
Patterson is wheeled to a PHi Air Medical Helicopter to be flown to Houston.
