Monty King's 2001 Chevy Tahoe lays on its side in the 1600 block of South Houston.
Unsafe Hauling, Driver Rolls Vehicle and Trailer, LIVINGSTON, July 2, 2012 - Shortly before 3 pm on July 2, 2012, a white 2001 Chevy Tahoe driven by Monty King, 40, of Livingston, was south-bound in the 1600 block of South Houston (US-146 across from rodeo fairgrounds). King was pulling a trailer with a small pickup in the back of the trailer. According to Sergeant Ronny Bogany with the Livingston Police Department, King was apparently driving too fast for the load he was pulling and the trailer started whipping causing King to lose control. King's vehicle left the pavement to the right and rolled. The trailer that was being pulled came disconnected during the rollover. Sergeant Ronny Bogany and Officers Chad Ward and Marty Drake were dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, nobody was injured. According to Officer Chad Ward (who assisted Sergeant Bogany in the investigation), Monty King was cited for expired driver's license, unsafe speed, no safety chains used on trailer hookup, and no insurance. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing helped clean up the mess.
