Rodney Vanhowden of Magnolia failed to yield to an oncoming Chevy Tahoe.
Two Vehicle Accident, SWARTWOUT, July 1, 2011 - At approximately 5:35 pm on July 1, 2011, a white 2003 Ford F-150 driven by Rodney Dean Vanhowden, 45, of Magnolia, was at a stop sign at the intersection of FM-3278 at FM-1988 West.  Vanhowden failed to yield to an oncoming maroon colored Chevy Tahoe driven by Britnie Lee Breaux, 24, of Goodrich.  Breaux's vehicle collided with Vanhowden's vehicle.  Breaux's vehicle spun around coming to rest facing south right beside Vanhowden's vehicle.  The Goodrich Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Trooper Darwon Evans with the Texas Highway Patrol and Troopers Kevin Burman and David Flowers.  Fortunately, nobody was injured in the accident.  Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup.  According to Trooper Evans, Rodney Vanhowden was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign and Britnie Breaux was cited to no insurance.  A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Breaux's vehicle and towed it to Breaux's house while Vanhowden's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.  The scene was cleared in a little over an hour.

Special thank you:  Ken from Ken's Towing
