FM-1988 East at Rayon Road on Sunday evening (06/30/19)
Driver Rolls Pickup End Over End, Flown Out, Alcohol Suspected, LIVINGSTON, June 30, 2019 - At approximately 8:35 pm on June 30, 2019, a brown 2015 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by Wesley Jared Smith, 30, of Shepherd, was west-bound on FM-1988 East. Smith's vehicle left the pavement to the right, grazed a utility pole, and continued through a drainage area. As Smith's vehicle came out of the ditch, it jumped Providence Road, landed on a front lawn and began to roll. Smith's vehicle rolled end over end and came to rest upside down on the lawn next to Rayon Road. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies Garrett Childers, Austin McCracken, and Laura Sturgeon with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Troopers Nick Hatton and Alan Stanton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Smith was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital where a helicopter landed and flew him to Conroe Regional Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Alcohol is suspected. Pending toxicology reports, Smith could be facing a charge of driving while intoxicated. Smith's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.

30 year old Wesley Jared Smith, of Shepherd was driving this 2015 Dodge Ram 250 west-bound on FM-1988 East and rolled his pickup where it came to rest at Rayon Road.
Smith's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
