Trooper Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
Woodville Woman Hospitalized in Single Vehicle Accident, BIG THICKET, June 30, 2010 - At approximately 6:20 am on June 30, 2010, a silver 2005 Kia Optima driven by Amy Hensarling, 32, of Woodville, was south-bound on US-146 near East Schwab Road when she fell asleep at the wheel.  According to Hensarling, she opened her eyes and was in the oncoming north-bound lane of traffic.  Hensarling then cut her wheels right but over-corrected and left the road to the right, struck a culvert and rolled.  Her vehicle came to rest facing west near East Schwab Road.  The South Polk County Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Americare Ambulance Service and DPS Trooper Ramey Bass.  Emergency personnel carefully removed Hensarling from her vehicle and loaded her onto an Ambulance.  It appeared that Hensarling possibly sustained serious head injuries.  Hensarling was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital.  Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup.  Hensarling did have insurance.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Hensarling's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.  No citations were issued and the scene was cleared by 7:45 am.

Special thank you:  Ken from Ken's Towing
