Hunter Sage's 2003 Toyotal Tacoma
Single Vehicle Accident, 2 Ejected, Life Flight Summoned, CORRIGAN, June 28, 2009 - According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, shortly after 4 pm, a burgundy 2003 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Sage Hunter, 18, of Corrigan was west-bound on FM-357 in Corrigan.  According to witness at the scene, Sage entered a curve at a high rate of speed and then left the road to the right, Sage then over-corrected as he attempted to get back onto the road.  Sage's vehicle rolled several times and came to rest in the grass on the opposite side of the road upside down.  DPS Troopers Brent Murray and Kevin Burman were dispatched to the scene along with ambulances from Americare Ambulance Service and the Corrigan Volunteer Fire Department.  Sage's male passenger was treated at the scene and transported to Lufkin Memorial Hospital, while a PHI helicopter was summoned and landed in the middle of FM-357.  Sage was transported to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler Texas with serious injuries.  All traffic on FM-357 was blocked during investigation and cleanup.  Sage did have insurance, but will be issued a citation for failure to control speed.  A rollback wrecker from Riley Wrecker Service out of Corrigan recovered Sage's vehicle.  The scene was cleared and traffic fully flowing shortly after 5 pm.

A special Thank You to Ken from Ken's Towing.
