Accident Hospitalizes Livingston Man, LIVINGSTON, June 24, 2017 - At approximately 3:15 pm on June 24, 2017, a blue 1992 Dodge Dakota, driven by Martin Scott Britz, 58, of Livingston, was south-bound on FM-350 South. Britz's vehicle suddenly slammed in the front driver's side fender of a red 2013 Ford Flex driven by Henry F. Swinney, Jr., 85, of Woodville. Swinney attempted to pull out of the parking lot of Florida's Kitchen Restaurant into the north-bound lane and failed to yield to Britz. Britz's vehicle came to rest in the south-bound lane while Swinney's vehicle came to rest in the north-bound lane. Allegiance and Americare Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene along with Troopers Zach Lenderman, Nick Hatton, and Sean Chandler. Britz was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Swinney and his two passengers were physically okay. Traffic on 350 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Swinney was cited for failure to yield from a private drive. Both vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
