28 year old Joshua Wright's Oldsmobile Intrigue appears totaled after he struck a utility pole.
Driver Crashes Car, Flees Scene, Facing DWI Charges, LIVINGSTON, June 24, 2014 - At approximately 10:30 am on June 24, 2014, a white Oldsmobile Intrigue driven by Joshua Wright, 28, of Livingston, was east-bound on Beauty Shop road when his vehicle left the road to the left and slammed into a utility pole.  According to witnesses, a car came and gave Wright a ride away from the scene.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Rey Davalos, Sergeant Rob Thomas, Lieutenant Andy Lowrie and Deputy Rand Turner (all with the Polk County Sheriff's Office) and Trooper Chad Seamans with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Officers located Wright just around the corner at his residence at 1030 Beauty Shop Road.  Investigating Officer Chad Seamans questioned Wright and began the process of a field sobriety test, but suddenly Wright opted to go to the hospital by ambulance.  After Wright was taken away by ambulance, Trooper Seamans returned to the scene of the accident to continue his investigation.  Seamans later proceeded to the hospital only to find that Wright had left.  Trooper Seamans put out a warrant for Wright's arrest for driving while intoxicated.  Wright is believed to have been intoxicated on some type of pills.  Wright's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop.
