Single Vehicle Accident Hospitalizes 2, LIVINGSTON, June 22, 2020 - At approximately 11:15 am on June 22, 2020, a white 1996 Nissan Maxima, driven by Rodney Dewayne Burnett, 29, of Spring, was north-bound on US-59. Burnett was apparently distracted when he swerved to avoid striking an 18 wheeler directly in front of him. Burnett swerved right and spun around coming to rest in the median between 59 and the feeder road (next to Farm Bureau Insurance). Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and Officers Ronald Bogany, Kevin Blackburn, Christopher Huestis, and Sergeant Ronnie Bogany with Livingston Police Department. Both Burnett and his young child passenger were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed but non-life-threatening injuries. Burnett is likely facing citations for the accident. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Burnett's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
Burnett's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
