Accident Hospitalizes 2, LIVINGSTON, June 21, 2019 - At approximately 9:26 am on June 21, 2019, a maroon 1996 GMC Sierra, driven by Ray Camper, Jr., 86, of Livingston, was north-bound on Pan American Drive. Camper slowed to make a left turn onto Redbird Drive when he was suddenly slammed from behind by a red 2015 Ford F-250, driven by Jeffrey Allen Parmelly, 28, of Goodrich. The impact pushed both vehicles into the center median. Camper's vehicle came to rest at the edge of the median while Parmelly's vehicle crossed the south-bound lanes of traffic and came to rest in the parking lot of Owen Furniture. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Officers Jason Thomas, Kevin Ward, Adam Williford, and Sergeant Darrell Newman with Livingston Police Department. Both Camper and Parmelly were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic on the south-bound side of Pan American was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Parmelly was apparently distracted when the accident occurred. He was cited for failure to control speed. Parmelly's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston. Camper's vehicle was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker and will be stored in Goodrich.
