Tire Blowout Causes Vehicle Rollover, MOSCOW, June 21, 2016 - At approximately 12:35 pm on June 21, 2016, a blue 2001 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by Shelita Diane Jenkins, 42, of Lufkin, was south-bound on US-59.  Jenkins' vehicle blew a tire causing her to lose control.  Her vehicle rolled left and came to rest upright on the right shoulder.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Corrigan and Livingston Volunteer Fire Departments, Deputy Josh Sanders and Corporal Jacob Chapman with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Darwon Evans with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Jenkins' door was jammed from the rollover.  Firemen used the Jaws-of-Life to pop the door open.  Jenkins and her passenger were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  One lane on the south-bound side of 59 was blocked during investigation and cleanup.  A rollback wrecker from Clifton Chevrolet out of Corrigan recovered Jenkins' vehicle and it will be stored in Corrigan.  No citations were issued.
