Details Sketchy in Major Accident by Livingston Post Office, LIVINGSTON, June 21, 2008 - At approximately 11:15 at night on June 20, 2008, a tan late model Buick LeSabre was west bound on 190 near the Livingston Post office. The car proceeded through the signal light, when it was slammed from behind by the driver of a white Chevy Silverado. The impact crushed the rear end of the Buick while the front end of the Chevy Truck sustained major damage. The driver of the truck sustained serious head injuries and was transported by Americare Ambulance Service to Livingston Memorial Hospital where Life Flight was waiting. The driver of the truck was flown to Houston. The driver of the Buick sustained injuries and had to be transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital by Americare. The driver of the truck was at fault for hitting the car from behind and will be issued a citation for failure to control speed. While the driver of the car had his own legal problems as a substantial amount of crack cocaine was found in his car. The driver of the car had a passenger, and according to witnesses, the passenger fled the scene. The driver of the car will be charged for felony possession of a controlled substance. Both vehicles were towed by Harwood wrecker service.
