Family Car Rolls, Multiple Injured, 2 Flown, SEVEN OAKS, June 19, 2022 - Shortly before 11 am on June 19, 2022, a gray 2013 Chrysler 200, driven by Timothy Jermain, 43, of Sheldon, Illinois, was south-bound on US-59. Jermain had four passengers (wife, daughter, and two sons). Jermain apparently fell asleep at the wheel. His vehicle left the pavement to the left, rolled, and came to rest upright in the center median just north of the rest area. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, and Trooper Nick Hatton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Firemen used the Jaws-of-Life to open the jammed doors. All five occupants were hospitalized (Jermain's wife and one of his sons were flown from the scene to Hermann Hospital in Houston). Jermain and the others were all transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic on both sides of 59 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup, and completely shut down during flight operations. Jermain's vehicle was recovered by Clifton Chevrolet out of Corrigan. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.
